Police Report for insulting Eggs

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I read the following words in a newspaper:

“The Seputeh Umno Youth division lodged a police report today against Seputeh MP Teresa Kok, claiming she had insulted the Royal Malaysian Police and the egg, which is an essential food of the underprivileged.”

I don’t know if they are trying to insult the police or what. I do not know whether to laugh or to cry. These clowns are showing the world their intellect. On the other hand, it is so sad and worrying because the person who lodge the report is a local leader of the dominant Party of the Federal Government.

I guess this can only happen in Malaysia. Only in Boleh Land can a police report be lodged for insulting an egg.

God save Malaysia!

Even Buffaloes fight for Freedom

From the website of Din Merican:

This is a touching clip about unity against oppression. It can happen even in the animal world. But it was their sense of wanting to protect their helpless that unified the herd, and together they took on the preying lions and an opportunistic crocodile. Is there is a message for us, Malaysians?  For me, it is a simple case of “United we stand, Divided we fall”. Think about it. Your comments are most welcome.—Din Merican

TidakApathy

First they came for the Bloggers, and I did not speak out -
because I was not a Blogger.
Then they came for the Journalists, and I did not speak out -
because I was not a Journalist.
Then they came for the Members of Parliament, and I did not speak out -
because I was not a Member of Parliament.
Then they came for me - and there was no one left to speak for me.

Do not let the above words be inscribed onto the tombstone of liberty in Malaysia. Speak now or forever hold your peace.

The following words were inscribed at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out -
because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out -
because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out -
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me - and there was no one left to speak for me.

Long Live Malaysia

Malaysian Flag Upside Down

You may be wondering why I am flying the Malaysian Flag Upside-down. This is the reality of our nation today. Everything in our country is now upside-down. We are now a country in distress, like a badly damaged ship floating aimlessly in the  ocean.

People who should be arrested and charged are walking around free while those who fought for justice and the rakyat are being threatened and imprisoned.

From Haris Ibrahim’s blog:-

…………….I would like to call upon all Malaysians to do these:

1. Remain calm

2. Do not do anything rash

3. Do not take to the street

4. Do not be instigated by people to demonstrate

5. Just voice it out in your blog, your comments to the blogs, and inform your friends and relatives about the situation

6. Call your Aduns or MPs and voice out your objection about these arrests and urge your representatives to voice out

7. Members of political parties, sms your leaders to pressure them to voice out

We shall object to these draconian acts by using civility and do not fall into the traps of giving the big brother a chance to declare emergency rule……

RPK Under ISA

Today I read with a heavy heart that our Government has gone berserk and arrested a prominent blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin. He was arrested under the Internal Security Act, a draconian act that empowers the Police to arrest without charges and detention without trial.

Meanwhile, Marina Lee, Raja Petra’s wife has urged all Malaysians to remain calm and not take to the streets.
